Joey Sasa has been behind the decks since 1999. It all started with House – over the years he added nu jazz, downtempo, chill-out, UK garage and drum & bass.
Around 2012 he founded the production duo The Lost Soundsystem and the digital label EMDK Records together with Emä. The first House releases are still available on Beatport.
Today Joey Sasa is at home in drum & bass and house. His sound is mostly melodic, often with a flavour of funk or disco – but never too shy for deep basslines. That balance between underground and more accessible cuts gets any proper crowd moving.
Between 2001 and 2012 he played Gurtenfestival and Open Air St. Gallen, plus a special set at Street Parade 2004. Abroad he has played Osaka, Bangkok, Koh Samui and London. In Bern you'll find him at Darkside in the Dachstock and at Bass in your Face.
